Our rules are simple and listed on the opposite side of this page in several languages. However, lately with the MASS of submissions we get, we've discovered a need to refine those rules a little.
Effective immediately,

Any stock photos or textures must be
linked to the source stock image (not just the provider) WE must be able to verify the stock as legitimate.

Any stock photos or textures must be from a legitimate stock provider. DeviantArt stock providers are preferred, but sites like istockphoto, shutter stock, sxc.hu (Stock.xchng) are perfectly acceptable. Sites like Photobucket, and Google images are
not. If the stock images were created by you - please credit as such.
What IS NOT a photomanipulation? This question has plagued us since the beginning of this group. What is or is not a photomanipulation?
We, the Manipulators team, have discussed it and discussed it and finally came to a simple definition.
In order for US to consider an image a photomanipulation, it must combine multiple photographic elements OR create an entirely new image.
That is to say, taking a single stock photograph, throwing it through about 4 Photoshop filters and slapping a texture on it does not make it a photomanipulation by our standards. Also, taking a single stock photograph and recolouring it does not make it a photomanipulation by our standards. And last but not least, taking a single stock image and slathering it with brushes does not make it a photomanipulation by our standards.
Thank you all for understanding our need to update our rules of submission!
Keep manipulating!
